Martians

The Martian civilization is much more ancient than the human one, but they didn't manage to keep all knowledge got during such a long period of existence. And when Martians realised what they had done, it was too late.

And during the evolution Martians lost their glands responsible for the connection with the space. Scientists of Martians tried to create them again with the help of genetic means but it didn't have any result.

The problem was that if Martians didn't manage to create these glands again, the process of their development may start in reverse. In the result, Martians could return to their initial stage of their development.

Martians understood that their technical world became so powerful and achieved such success that it destroyed the ecology and turned it into the source of power. And at the same time biological organs of protection of Martians stopped working and degraded quickly.

And then the process of fighting started, but fighting not for better life, but for the life. In the result, the only life of this planet is bacteria in 3d dimension. Some insects, small mammals survived too adapting to new conditions on the planet. In other dimensions Mars was always uninhabited.

Martians that managed to survive by constructing external glands tried to live on our planet. But they didn't succeed. Nowadays the part of the Martians got the name "Grey" wandering in next galaxies. Another part mixed with other races of aliens and settled in its majority in ell-wand.

The "Greys" trying to reborn the civilization of Martians and to get glands again use people in their genetic experiments. Humanity was chosen for these experiments because it is in the beginning of its development and we don't guess what treasure we keep.
